
Plate & Shell Heat Exchangers
Plate&Shell heat exchangers consist of combination of the Plate heat exchangers and Shell Tube heat exchangers. It has the best features of both types of heat exchangers. You can find the efficiency of the plate heat exchanger and the strength of the tube heat exchanger in a single heat exchanger. The inner plates are welded together. They can operate at temperatures from -200 °C up to 1000 °C, since there is no gasket. This type of heat exchangers are generally used in district heating systems, power plants, chemical processes, refineries, industrial cooling, NH3 and CO2 applications, hot oil processes as condensers, evaporators, coolers and heaters. It is also widely used in economizer and waste heat recovery.
